Datasource to Form ID
New Siteglide field type datasource single to include option to datasource to a form. Should give client dynamic dropdown with name of form as label and store the form ID as the value.
Categories - Admin UI support for weighting
Categories have a weighting field and it appears in CSV export/import, but it’s not currently possible to edit in the Admin UI. Let’s add support for it.
WebApp - Include the Add New Option after saving a WebApp Item
You can Add New if you do Add New, save once then Add New again but if you open a WebApp Item to edit then Save, you have to come out of the item to add new.
WYSIWYG Editor
When pressing backspace or cut and pasting, content is either deleted or ends up in the wrong place
AI Assistant Website Module
I wanted to ask whether Siteglide has considered, or could potentially offer, an AI conversational assistant that could be embedded directly into client websites. The idea would be to allow website visitors to “talk to the website” rather than simply navigate through menus and pages. For example, a visitor could ask questions such as: “Which product would be best for my needs?” “Where can I find the technical documentation for this product?” “What are the requirements to apply?” “Can you explain the difference between these two services?” “I need to dig a 20-metre trench — which equipment should I hire?” The AI assistant would use the website’s own content as its knowledge base, including: website pages; blog posts; FAQs; products and catalogues; WebApps; PDF documents; brochures; technical datasheets; other approved documentation. Ideally, it would work as a RAG-based AI assistant, meaning that answers would be grounded in the client’s own content rather than relying on generic AI knowledge. From an agency perspective, some particularly useful features would be: easy deployment across multiple Siteglide websites; automatic indexing and updating when website content changes; the ability to include or exclude specific content from the knowledge base; links or references back to the relevant website pages or documents; custom branding for each client; conversation analytics; visibility into the questions visitors are asking; identification of questions the assistant could not answer; lead capture and enquiry generation; potentially, the ability to trigger actions such as forms, bookings, CRM entries or other workflows. I see this as something beyond a traditional chatbot. It could become a genuine AI interface for navigating and interacting with a Siteglide website. For agencies like ours, it could also create significant value because the questions asked by visitors would provide valuable insights into missing content, customer needs, SEO/GEO opportunities and conversion improvements.
Product Category Selection Not Displayed After Saving
Summary When a product is assigned to a category using the Category tab and the product is saved, the assigned category is no longer shown as selected when the product is reopened. Steps to Reproduce For a product (or any where an item can be categorized). Navigate to CMS → Category. Open the category structure and select a category. Save the product (or item). Click on a link in the left side menu. Reopen/click on product item. Return to the Category tab. Expected Result The item category should still be displayed as selected, indicating that the product is assigned to that category. Actual Result The item category is not shown as selected. Issue When the item category needs to be edited, there is no indication which category the item falls under.
Deleting Multiple Sections in Studio
It would be really helpful to be able to delete multiple sections in studio instead of one at a time
Unified Sid AI Assistant
Sid is useful for creating sections and editing content but it should work like Cursor/Claude having access to the entire codebase and being able to build anything. A full right hand sidebar for Sid that can be opened/closed anywhere within Siteglide and can answer questions or follow prompts to build functionality. It needs to be agentic to handle multiple tasks and be able to run checks that everything is working correctly.
Siteglide-cli - add command to download latest AI "skills" into root project folder
Ideally set a flag which encourages the file to be read-only, if possible. To make updates easier. Also create a custom skill file if one does not exist, to encourage new skills to go in there.
Forms - Conditionally hide / show fields based on the state of other fields.
A client-side JS framework, configured by CMS/forms config in Admin, this would allow you to write logical rules like: If in dropdown a, option one is selected, hide field b, as it won’t be needed. Or if checkbox for “billing address is same as shipping address” is selected, hide the entire section of the form for billing address.
Forms - Advanced Validation
Currently Siteglide handles both server-side and client-side validation, but only for required: true/false. We could add further validation options, possibly following the same options pOS provides for forms: https://documentation.platformos.com/developer-guide/forms/validation#example One of the useful parts of that is that some fields can be conditionally validated, so if field a is filled in, field b becomes required etc. It would be useful if validation could also have an “exceptions” box where validation is disabled per form layout, in case there is an “admin” form layout where less rules apply. Though this may be tricky to design security for. This helps handle cases where the validation is too strict for the flexibility with which forms need to be used sometimes, including across different layouts.
eCommerce - Faster / Easier bulk attribute management
Currently you can import attributes for a product with CSV, but it’s a slow process. You need to know product IDs already to create the attributes. And you need to create the attributes first in order to have IDs to give to the options. Option 1: Create an attribute template e.g. for “size” for a clothing website, which can be defined in eCommerce settings and then used to create new attributes for products, either for all products, or those products already assigned to a selected category. This UI should create attributes on the products which are functional. In this example you could create a template for Men’s top sizes and a template for Women’s top sizes and then create attributes for all products in that category. Option 2: Improve CSV export / import for attributes so that it’s a one import process and attributes are automatically mapped to products (using external IDs) without needing to do it in phases to generate ids first. These ideas probably need development to make sure it’s suitable for editing attributes as well as adding them, and keeping track of which attributes were created via template and updating them when the template needs to change.
eCommerce - Flexible Attributes (customisation preferences)
Some products may allow the customer to customise the product, e.g. by adding a custom message to be engraved on the product, or having the product cut to custom dimensions with no limits (as a traditional attribute might have). Could we create a flexible attribute which could be added to a product where the user defines a custom value when it is added, and this value is carried into the cart / order etc. This flexible attribute would have no traditional options, but may have validation rules or field type e.g. string with max-length 50 characters or number with min and max values between 10 - 60. This validation could possibly not need to be defined in Siteglide, but could simply be defined in Cart HTML- that’s a decision to be made which is best / easiest. Currently the custom code workaround for this is to dynamically create the attributes needed if they do not yet exist using custom API calls, but a more developer-friendly option would be useful. A further use-case for this might be when purchasing courses, to be able to select a date value for a flexible attribute, so in the same basket you could have 1 course for date a and two courses for date b, without having to define those options beforehand. Naturally, it will not be possible to store inventory for these kinds of attributes, certainly not at first. They could have a price e.g. pen costs £10 but engraved pen costs £5 extra, whatever the message.
SEO Fields for 404 page
Please add title and description fields to the system pages, the same as normal pages. We’re having to add this manually at the moment and it’s not ideal.
Staging Oracle+Cloudflare Stack (OCI)
Similar to the already launched Europe/UK Oracle+Cloudflare stack or OCI for short (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure). Once launched ALL new trial sites will be on OCI Staging so that sites can be tested fully prior to launching on the new OCI Production Stacks (US and AU will launch next).
Option for auto-redirecting from uppercase URLs to lowercase with a blanket redirect rule
Default on for new sites maybe, but default off for existing sites. We already have the code, just need UI for the setting.
Image vs. File field types- Restrict file type
In some areas of Siteglide there is a file type field distinct from an image type field. These have very similar behaviour in the UI. In Studio there is an opportunity to make their behaviour differ further by allowing the agency to set Mime types which are suitable for this field, for example an image field type could accept only “image/*” mime types. Whereas a specific file field may only expect .pdf files but not .doc files. It would be good if Siteglide File manager could be loaded when a field is clicked in a mode which only shows files which match the criteria the field expects and only allows files which match those criteria when uploading. Fields in Siteglide could also have the option to set which files they accept, to keep the behaviour consistent. It would probably need a small amount of attention to support this on the front-end as well. The main File Manager would continue showing and allowing all file types as normal. The only change would be the version of File Manager loaded when a field is clicked. Any defaults would need to preserve backwards compatibility. It may make sense to make file type fields available where they are currently not yet.
Support Adding Liquid in the Page Template selection field in Pages
pOS allows dynamically selecting Page Template based on Liquid logic, can this be supported in Siteglide Pages? Currently it is possible to add in CLI, but then the page can’t be saved.
